Well this is our new Editor in Chief, Avery Emmert.  She has style!

The hardest thing for her on the first day of school was figuring out what to wear the next day!

My Daughter Avery is now going to be working at the Crimson as the Editor. Please welcome her as she begins her new role introducing some of our new products at Crimson.

We all love Fashion!  Fashion week has been going on for Spring/Summer 2011 in Dallas, New York, London, Paris, Milan.  We all love fashion.  Crimson in the city loves worldwide fashion and we ship worldwide! 

Fashion week in New York many of the collections revolved around a series or whites and neutrals.  Accent colors were deep reds, marigold, blues, greens and a pastel blush. The styles are romantic, casual & carefree.

In London, Fashion week started with an explosion of colors and the collections were  flowy.  I love the dramatic collection and catwalk by Meadham Kirchhoff.  What a show!  It was a sinister fairy tale scene which was marked by a very dreary darkness.  Very bold features such as glittered leg warmers worn with very clunky platform shoes the models.  It was a like watching a cross between a childhood fantasy and a horror flick.  “The delicacy was really stunning, and it was nice to see the development from last season. It was really graphic and beautiful,” enthused Vogue’s Emily Zak.

Finally, As noted by the Associated Press, Fashion week in Milan the Italian designers are bursting with colors, whimsical patterns and many of the collection have  a cheery floral inspiration.

My daughter, Avery Emmert, a Freshman at Booker T Washington School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Dallas is stepping out in style.  Sporting her Chaser LA Grateful Dead ‘Summer Tour 1990′ Tee as she poses outside by the beautiful Sculpture. Chaser LA has been a favorite of Crimson in the City since we opened in 2005.  Avery has chosen the spring 2011 selection we will receive during the holiday season.  Be sure to check out our t-shirt collection.  More to come!
